back pain

Have you ever sprained your ankle and realized that suddenly your entire body is out of alignment? Instantly, the other leg starts to compensate by carrying more weight, eventually resulting in series of back pains.

Using can quickly feel like a series of back pains if it is not properly managed and monitored. If you’re already a Salesforce user, than you may know what I mean. You may be  stuck adding data to fields that don’t make sense or are duplicating your efforts across several record types – resulting in back pains and a giant headache.

When configuring Salesforce, “there’s a million ways to skin a cat”.  Being a cat lover, that’s not an expression I use with ease, but it gets the point across: there’s not one right or wrong way to use Salesforce. And that’s why it’s really important to have a Salesforce Administrator on your side to ensure that the system is set up to make your business as efficient as possible.

If you haven’t hired a third party to audit your use of Salesfore, here’s a few things a Certified Salesforce Admin can do for you:

Subjective Advice:
In the battle of sales and marketing, everyone has a different idea on how Salesforce should work for them. However, a thorough administrator will sit down and understand your entire business process before implementing any changes. An admin’s role can be as simple as mapping out the lead flow architecture, to creating custom fields, changing record layouts, and installing apps.

Actionable Metrics:
Whenever I talk to a new Salesforce customer, I ask what they expect to get out of their Salesforce investment. It’s important to understand what metrics, insights and data a Salesforce user expects before they implement a process that might not be reportable. A Salesforce admin can help determine what data points are important for your company, and then create the business process that will result in data-rich reports and actionable metrics.

Data Integrity:
Sometimes Salesforce users may try to cut corners by injecting data that make their productivity look more favorable. However, garbage in equals garbage out – eventually resulting in a very polluted database. A Salesforce admin will be able to analyze the integrity of your data to ensure that it’s clean, scrubbed for duplicates, and actionable across the entire organization.

If using is causing you aches and pains, contact me – a Salesforce Administrator. I’ve been working with Salesforce for more than 6 years and can help your company implement a process and reports that will rid you of all of your aches and pains.
